John Reischman

John Reischman is renowned for his exquisite taste, tone, and impeccable musicianship. He is one of the acoustic world’s top-ranked mandolin players and composers, and is a Vancouver-based, veteran artist. His mastery of the instrument is showcased today in the powerful bluegrass band John Reischman and the Jaybirds and his melodic Latin/jazz instrumental duo with highly regarded acoustic guitar stylist John Miller.

His most recent recording, New Time & Old Acoustic, was nominated for a Juno Award and a Canadian Folk Music Award

A familiar figure at bluegrass, folk, and jazz festivals, John is also a highly regarded workshop leader and participates in music camps (including NimbleFingers!) and workshops throughout North America and England.
