2025 Week 4 - Knitting, Circles. and Stories Adult (19+)

What do knitting, circles and stories have in common? They are antidotes to busyness, chaos and the unsettled feelings we struggle to calm. They are a renewed and radical approach to finding peace. Sylvia Olsen will lead a course in knitting a mandala that will become a beautiful art piece to hang or a table centerpiece. The course will include instructions on several knitting techniques including pinhole cast on, no-strand colour work, three-stitch cast-off and an amended version of making a pi circle. We will take time to tell and time to listen to each other’s stories and as a group we will discuss the meaning and importance of circles, of pulling together and coming together, in our lives.
