Creative Journaling: Reverence, what is it good for?

Reverence is a profound emotion that often intertwines with feelings of awe, respect, and admiration. It can be directed toward people, nature, ideas, and spiritual beliefs. This emotion helps us to connect deeply with what we hold significant in our lives. The earliest known use of the noun reverence is in the Middle English period (1150—1500). The earliest evidence for reverence is from around 1300, in St. Thomas Becket.

Future historical references may indicate the loss of reverence, both the feeling and the word, in our lifetime. Let’s explore this emotion together, in our writing and our creativity, and see if we, shining the light of our attention, can restore its brilliance.

Go to www.sorrentocentre.ca and click on “Upcoming Retreats, Workshops and Events” in the very top banner. Click on “Register now” for either Tuesday or Thursday. Once on the right day, click on “Register Now”. Fill in your information and press continue. Choose Your Program: this is where you choose the zoom program.  When registering for 2 guests please choose 2 programs. You’ll now be at the Provide Payment step. Choose from the dropdown Credit Card or E-transfer.  If you choose credit card it will take you to the form to complete credit card information. Complete that information and click Register Now.
