2025 Week 2 - The Turbulent 2020’s: A Midterm Report Adult (19+)
With Bishop Anna Greenwood-Lee and Rev. Christine Conkin
July 28 - August 2, 2025
The 2020’s… we know how they started. How are they going? Climate crises. Racial reckonings. Institutional church decline. Trump is back. The future is uncertain. How does our theology help or hinder us as we navigate the turbulence of our times? How do we hold fast in communities of faith in these chaotic and changing times?
Join +Anna and Christine for a week of intentional reflection to explore and incarnate life-giving theology and practice in this turbulent decade. We’ll look at some of the theological voices of our time, including John Thatamanil, Ilia Delia, Tripp Fuller, Grace Ji-Sun Kim, Brian McLaren, Catherine Keller, and Tom Oord. Their insights will help us dig into some of the issues of our day, like what we do with our buildings in light of institutional church decline and growing awareness of our colonial legacy, while continuing to embrace Jesus’ call to justice and peace.
