2025 Week 2 - The Honey Roads
With Jeff Stockton
July 28 - August 2, 2025
There is an ancient Irish love song that sings that the Bees have their Honey Roads in every cardinal direction from the mountain. The bees have always been powerful teachers for human beings. They have been honoured across cultures as divine messengers, visitations of spirit, and bringers of inspiration.
Come travel the Honey Roads this summer at Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre. We’ll dive headlong into Beauty…We’ll slow down with the sweet, clear song of the Land…And create something both nourishing and beautiful to carry with us on the homeward road.
The week will be anchored in song, creative expression, and inspiring stories around 5th century Ireland’s Bee Saint – St Gobnait. Her connection with Spirit, with the Bees, and with the living landscape of Ireland have inspired people of many different faiths for centuries. Through ceremony, song and story, we’ll explore the wisdom of these beautiful beings at one of the great turning points in the Celtic calendar – the festival of Lughnasadh (the turning towards the harvest) on August 1st.
Over the course of the week, immersed in song and landscape, participants will have opportunities for creating a simple personal honey pot – a personal oracle of insights and inspirations to carry with them on their return journeys home. Enchantment awaits in the sweetness upon the honey roads.
